Daniel Hope / Cicero Magazine
Violinist Daniel Hope with his father poet and novelist Christopher Hope at Ramleh Commonwealth War Graves Commission Cemetery and Memorial to the Missing.
Hope is at least the most versatile British violinist of the early twenty-first century. Hope has written a book, "Familienstücke: Eine Spurensuche" ("Family Album: Following the Trail"), which folds his personal history into an epic of families displaced to South Africa by famine in Ireland and the Nazis in Germany. It reveals secrets swept under the carpet generations ago.
Assignment for the German Cicero magazine.
